WESTMINSTER — A 30-year-old woman from New York was charged with excessive speeding following an incident in Westminster on Sunday.
Police say they observed a vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed while monitoring traffic on I-91 at around 10:45 p.m.
According to the report, the vehicle was traveling at 112 miles-per-hour in a posted 65 miles-per-hour zone.
While attempting to stop the vehicle, police say it continued through an active construction zone at 95 miles-per-hour where its posted speed limit is 55 miles-per-hour.
Finally, police pulled over the vehicle, and identified the driver as Tenzin Dorjee, of Woodside, NY.
Dorjee was issued a citation to appear in court on October 27.
