Traffic stop in Westminster leads to arrest

WESTMINSTER — A 20-year-old man who had an active warrant is facing multiple charges following an incident in Westminster early this morning.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 91 north at around 2:00 a.m.

Following an investigation, police say that one of the passengers, Daniel Harris, of West Springfield, MA, was in possession of narcotics.

It was also found that he had an active arrest warrant out of the state of Vermont.

He was transported to the State Police Westminster barracks for processing and then brought to Southern State Correctional facility.

He is scheduled to appear in court on July 20 for the warrant and September 8 for possession of a narcotic, stimulant, depressant.
