SPRINGFIELD — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a driver who fled the scene following a two-vehicle crash in Springfield on Saturday.

The crash took place on Interstate 91 north, at around 2:30 a.m.

A 19-year-old driver from Corinth told police that she was hit by another vehicle who did not stop to render aid or exchange information and subsequently fled the scene.

Police say the vehicle involved was reported to be a newer model large SUV, possibly a Cadillac or GMC make, which was black in color.

The vehicle involved may have damage from impacting into several sections of guardrail, or damage to the front passenger side from the initial collision.
