GRAFTON — Police say an 83-year-old man from New York was found dead inside his vehicle in Grafton yesterday.
Police responded to a reported unresponsive male on Middletown Road at around 1:55 p.m.
The report was made by the caretaker of the property who located the vehicle and found the decedent, police say.
State Police, the Assistant Medical Examiner, Grafton Fire, and Rescue responded to the scene.
Police say it appears that the vehicle traveled off the road and became stuck in the field.
“At this time it is not clear if the decedent’s death is due to hypothermia or natural causes,” a statement from the police reads.
Police say there is nothing to indicate that the death is suspicious in nature.
The Windham County State’s Attorney’s Office was contacted and an autopsy will be performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington.
