Driver suffers broken wrist after crash in Weathersfield

WEATHERSFIELD — A 47-year-old Springfield man was involved in a single-vehicle crash with injuries after hitting a tree in Weathersfield yesterday.

Police responded to the crash which took place on Interstate 91 at around 9:35 p.m.

The driver, identified as Mark Johnson-Hedges, was driving his 2005 Dodge Truck when he lost control on the icy roads, exited the interstate and hit a tree on the side of the road.

Police say Hedges was transported to Springfield Hospital for treatment of a broken wrist.

The truck sustained major front end damage.
