VERNON — A 24-year-old resident of Brattleboro was arrested for his second DUI following a crash in Vernon on Monday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Fort Bridgman Road near Broad Brook Road at around 7:45 p.m.
According to the report, Nicholas Fisher had been driving his vehicle north when he failed to properly negotiate a turn and collided with a metal gate at Carroll’s Concrete, as well as a telephone pole.
Fisher was transported from the scene to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital to be treated for suspected injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say he displayed several indicators of impairment and was arrested for DUI #2.
He was processed at the hospital and released into their care.
He was eventually transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
