LONDONDERRY — A 38-year-old man from Athens was arrested after police say he broke into a house and stole a car in Londonderry.

Police responded to a burglary reported at a residence on Vermont Route 11 at around 3:00 p.m. yesterday.

Investigation revealed the suspect entered the home and stole clothing and the keys to a vehicle parked in the driveway.

The stolen vehicle was equipped with OnStar and was located traveling south on Vermont Route 30, in the town of Dummerston.

Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were asked to intercept the vehicle.

When located, police attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver sped off.

OnStar shut the vehicle down on Harris Avenue, where the driver fled on foot.

Police were able to track down the suspect and identify him as Jason Moul.

Moul was charged with attempting to elude, gross negligent operation and unlawful trespass after police say he broke into homes in the Harris Avenue neighborhood.

OnStar reactivated the vehicle and the owner was able to drive home to Londonderry.
