MONTPELIER — Farmers markets will be able to re-open on Friday, following guidelines issued by the state.

The guidelines include outdoor markets only and require wearing of face masks by vendors.

Only food vendors with raw or value-added agricultural products or edible plants are permitted, so no craft vendors will be allowed to set up.

The social distancing of vendors and customers is also required.

According to the new guidelines, no entertainment will be allowed in the markets as well.
Pets are also prohibited from entering the markets.

Markets will also have to designate a health and safety officer to ensure compliance with all requirements.

According to the guidelines, the public, in general, is encouraged to wear cloth face coverings any time they are interacting with others.
