HANNAFORD — A 58-year-old man from Rutland was arrested on multiple charges following an incident at the Quality Inn on Tuesday.

Authorities were notified of a trespassing complaint on US Route 7 at around 5:45 p.m.

Police say they made contact with Robert Horick at the Quality Inn when they arrived.

Horick has an active trespass notice against him for this location as well as the Hannaford store, and conditions of release preventing him from entering the store.

Police allege while taking Horick into custody he spits on a Trooper.

He is arrested for the charges of unlawful trespass, assault with bodily fluids, and violation of conditions.

He was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $200 bail.
