Driver injured after DUI crash on VT Route 100, Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — A 27-year-old Ludlow woman was charged with DUI following a crash in Plymouth on Sunday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Vermont Route 100 at around 10:47 p.m.

According to the report, Emily Hugerth was headed south when she crossed the center line continuing over the northbound lane and exiting the road from the east shoulder.

Police say the vehicle rolled at least one time and came to rest approximately 50 feet off the shoulder of the road.

While investigating the crash, police say they observed several indicators of impairment.

Hugerth was transported to the hospital due to injuries sustained during the crash.

While at the hospital, Hugerth was processed for DUI and issued a citation to appear in court at a later date and time.

State Police were assisted by Ludlow Fire Department and Ludlow Ambulance Services.
