POWNAL — A 30-year-old man was arrested following a fight that took place back in September.

Police say they were notified of a fight in progress at a home in Pownal at around 10:00 p.m. on September 12.

According to the report, Paul St. Pierre became involved in a physical altercation with a family member.

Pierre took the victim’s phone, leaving them without access to emergency services, and went to confront a mutual friend, identified as Jeffrey Collins.

Police say Pierre arrived at Jeffrey’s home, forcibly entered, and assaulted him inside and outside the home.

“The altercation was loud and violent, causing an inconvenience and annoyance to the neighbors,” Trooper Nicholas Grimes wrote in a statement.

Yesterday, St. Pierre turned himself into the Shaftsbury barracks.

He is facing the charges of domestic assault, burglary, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and interference with access to emergency services.

He was remanded to the Southern State Correctional Center to be held without bail.
