Police: Woodford man charged with DUI after intentionally crashing into another vehicle

WOODFORD — A 54-year-old man is facing charges following an incident in Woodford on Tuesday.

Police were notified of a property damage complaint on Penny Lane at around 9:40 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege Jeffrey C. Nichols, of Woodford, had intentionally caused damage to another vehicle by crashing into the vehicle.

While on scene, police say they established probable cause to believe Nichols was intoxicated during the incident.

Nichols displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was screened for DUI.

He was later transported to the Shaftsbury barracks and released on a criminal citation to answer to the charges of DUI, and unlawful mischief.
