Peru man arrested for DUI #2 after a crash in Dorset

DORSET — A 27-year-old man from Peru was arrested for his second DUI after a crash in Dorset yesterday.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious man attempting to enter a home on Morse Hill Road at around 9:13 p.m.

The suspect was identified as Jacob Chila.

According to the police report, Chila had crashed his vehicle into a ditch on Squirrel Hollow Road and subsequently abandoned his vehicle before proceeding to Morse Hill Road.

Police say that Chila was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

He was subsequently arrested and processed for DUI #2.

He was cited to appear in court on January 27 to answer to the charge.
